We are delighted that we have received our 1st Active Flag recently for our school. The teachers, staff and the pupils of Cobh Mixed National School put a lot of hard work into achieving the Active flag. Our active slogan is “Let’s get fit and active every day at home and school, we can play this way”
“Do your talking as you’re walking” we introduced this initiative into our playground and created posters around the school to remind pupils keep active when they are chatting.
The children and teachers take part in a daily walk for 10 minutes which was introduced during the Active Flag. This walk has continued into a daily activity for the children and teachers at the school each morning.
As a treat for all the children’s hard work towards the Active Flag we had a celebratory Super Mac’s lunch which was held in the school and enjoyed by all the children.
