On Monday 16th December the children and staff of Cobh Mixed N.S. made a visit to the Cobh Hospital for carol singing. It was wonderful to spread some Christmas cheer to the residents and staff of Cobh Hospital. The children practised their carol singing and actions every week under the watchful eye of their music teacher Matthew Breen, who played along on the keyboard accompanying the singing on the day. Parents were invited along to join in with the singing and afterwards were welcomed back to the school for refreshments. Many of the parents baked lovely homemade cakes for us all and we enjoyed them immensely. As a special treat all the children enjoyed a well-earned hot chocolate and cookie. It was lovely to get a chance to chat with the parents and grandparents back in the school.
Thank you to our wonderful music teacher Matthew Breen. Thank you to the parents who baked and helped with the refreshments and to parents and grandparents who joined us for the carol singing in Cobh hospital. It was a great morning. Last but not least a big thank you to the staff and residents of Cobh Hospital for their warm reception and we would like to wish everyone a Happy and Peaceful Christmas from Cobh Mixed N.S.
A cheque for €210 from our Christmas Jumper Fundraiser Day was presented to Toddy Stafford on behalf of Cobh Hospital from Cobh Mixed N.S.
