Adrian is a scientist from UCC who came to visit our school on Friday 14 th February
2025. He presented the children of the Junior Room with a show and tell workshop
about fossils. The children learned about where and how old each fossil was. Some
fossils were from plants and animals and others were from bacteria. The fossils which
Adrian showed the children were millions of years old and the children were very
privileged to get to see and touch them because as Adrian explained normally the public
do not get to touch the fossils because they are so old and precious.
The children were very interested in it all and asked lots of questions. It was an amazing
experience for the children and staff of the school.
