Tuesday 16th September, we went to Cobh Library to attend a talk with local Cobh ornithologist Jim Wilson. Jim is a wildlife tour leader with more than 40 years’ bird watching experience. The children took part in a wader migration bird game where they pretended to be birds. Each child was put into teams where they each had a migration passport and a dice, pencil and paper. The aim of the game was to be able to raise a family of chicks and survive the challenges of the game.
