The children took part in the Litter Picker Programme with Litter Warden Clodagh Meade. The children worked in pairs, and each had a bag and a picker to collect litter on the streets around Cobh. Clodagh gave us a very informative talk about the level of litter in Cobh. There were 53,000 bottles found around Cobh and the main offenders of litter were cigarette butts and chewing gum. The children were delighted when Clodagh presented them with pencils, badges and a treat for each child. Thank you to Clodagh for all her kindness.
