Halloween Fun

Our school is in a very fortunate position in being able to celebrate Halloween by maintaining social distance. The children came to school dressed up in wonderful costumes. The children were very creative with their costumes which they wore to school that day. One boy even made a fabulous Cookie Monster costume using his sewing machine.

We enjoyed a wide range of activities, all using social distance. Rhoda and the children made handmade slime using bread soda, pva glue and contact lens solution. The children also played some Halloween themed PE games, one was ‘Hit the Spooky Targets ‘where the pupils had to hit the target and score points. The pupils also loved the relay races which involved riding on their broomsticks and dropping their target into the hoop.

In the afternoon we held a social distance disco which was great fun.  Everybody went home with a Halloween party bag with some goodies and Halloween treats.

Music Treat:

We were very fortunate to have teacher Cliona treat the children to a live performance of traditional Irish music where the children enjoyed social distance dancing and movement at their desks. The lovely tunes echoed throughout the school for everyone to enjoy. Thank you, Cliona!!!
