Tuesday 13/02/2024 was Pancake Tuesday. We made pancake batter with flour (plúr), milk (bainne) and eggs (uibheacha). And we made the batter inside the bowl (babhla). We used a mixing whisk (buailan) to mix the batter. When the batter was well mixed, we left the pancake batter rest for 1 hour.
At 12 O’clock we used a crepe maker to fry the pancakes (pancoga) and then the two class rooms came together and sat in a circle and the teacher of the Senior Room cooked the pancakes. One of the students went and decorated their pancake with Nutella (leathadh seacláide) the second with Nutella (leathadh seacláide) and sugar the third with marshmallows and Nutella (leathadh seacláide) and etc, etc. And we all did that in Irish. We had an amazing day as we all enjoy pancakes.
